Charlene Haynes, OD, FAAO

Dr. Haynes grew up in Houston, TX and is a graduate of Texas A&M and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She is one out of only 3,000 Optometrists in the United States to have earned the prestigious status of becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1993 and a Diplomate, Board Certified Optometrist.

Dr. Haynes has special expertise in contact lens fittings and ocular disease diagnosis and treatment. Her long time patients praise Dr. Haynes on her professionalism and expertise in her field.

When not in the office, Dr. Haynes enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with her husband Jeff and their dogs.

Anna McKinney, OD

Dr. McKinney is a hill country native and grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology along with a Minor in Business from TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. McKinney earned her optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry graduating cum laude. In her final year of optometry school, Dr. McKinney completed internships involving a range of ocular diseases including chronic dry eyes, keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Dr. McKinney also enjoys working with children to help reduce their risk of developing nearsightedness. Being extremely nearsighted herself, she is passionate about educating parents about the latest treatment options for their children.

While in school, Dr. McKinney met her husband, Josh, who was born and raised in San Antonio. Together they have two sons, Rhodes and Quinn.

Away from the office, Dr. McKinney loves to travel and cheer on the TCU Horned Frogs!

Laurel

As a long time patient of Dr. Haynes, Laurel transitioned into our staff quite wonderfully as an optometric technician. She is a Texas Tech graduate with a degree in education. She and her husband Maarten have two children, Hunter and Lacey. On the weekends you might find Laurel shopping, traveling with her family and hunting with their Labrador Kinsey.
